MY APPROACH
Leading by Listening
As a trial lawyer for over thirty years, I have spent my entire professional career advocating on behalf of others. I am running for re-election to Westwood's Select Board because I would like to continue to advocate for the residents of Westwood, and for what I see as some of our major priorities - financial sustainability, the creation of commercial growth, investment in public safety, protection of our resources and universal access for all residents to enjoy those resources, and the pro-active engagement and inclusion of residents in the governance of our town.
I hope we can work together toward a vision of what we want Westwood to be for our families and the future generations who become part of our great community.
Local government is where the rubber meets the road, where the decisions made directly impact the daily lives of all residents. I am running for re-election to the Westwood Select Board because I want to continue to serve our community, which has given so much to my family and me. By leveraging the successes of the Town, together we can build a thriving future for Westwood, one that is sustainable and inclusive for all residents.
Backed by my leadership experience in Westwood, professionally, and in the nonprofit sector, I have enjoyed engaging with residents on the opportunities and challenges we face. Having chaired Westwood’s Finance and Warrant Commission, and dozens of public hearings, I appreciate how important public participation and vigorous, respectful process is for our good governance, particularly with respect to economic development proposals and capital expenditures. My guiding principle has been, and remains, to lead by listening.

As a 20+ year resident and a mother of three kids who attended Westwood's public schools, I understand well the value of a Westwood education and the need to sustain our standards of excellence.
